Big Surprise: Washington Post Endorses Obama

Well, the big mystery is solved, and the Washington Post has endorsed Barack Obama. While careful to heap praise upon their favorite Republican, they eventually arrive at what can only be seen as their inevitable choice.

While brushing aside Senator Obama's "undoubtedly thin" resume, they savage McCain for his choice of someone "...who is not ready to be President..." as his running mate, a bit of editorial prestidigitation that is breathtaking in its dishonesty.

I'm not surprised, nor will any of you be.

Is prestidigitation an act of dishonesty, or more an act of sleight of hand? As Oz said, "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain...."

One really can't get too upset with the Post on this. Borrowing from the fable about the frog and the scorpion, it is quite simply the Post's nature.
