Health Care Plans

Ruth Marcus takes a stab at an analysis of the Presidential candidates health care plans today. She starts out by telling us that Barack Obama's plan is better, for which we are then to presumably take her word. She then spends the rest of the article explaining Senator McCain's plan, undercutting Senator Obama's objections to it (using the words of Senator Obama's health care advisor), and generally lauding it.

But we get nothing on Senator Obama's plan---just some broad outlines. No discussion of costs, no discussion of additional mandates on employers, no discussion of how it inches us one step closer to a single payer (government) system. But it is better. Take Ruth's word for it.

The last page of today's WSJ has a good piece on this as well-it's worth a read. McCain has to get it out there though, because Obama is busy describing it as 'radical.'
