In the same way, you don't want Romney as your point man for the Republicans. Don't get me wrong, I like him & gladly voted for him . . . I thought he was just what the country needed in 2012. Here's the problem - if you assume Hillary is the nominee-in-waiting for the Dems, then you want someone to contrast w/ her. Romney gets beat up for being an out-of-touch rich guy who hob-knobs w/ fat cats, so the Republicans can hardly use that club on Hillary "we-were-flat-broke-but-now-I-charge-a-bazzilion-dollars-per-speech" Clinton as long as Romney is their point man. Hillary is old, tired, and out-of-touch - Republicans need someone to contrast w/ that;

2) As soon as the mid-terms are over with, attention will turn to the 2016 election. All those Republicans who are seeking the Presidency aren't going to want someone else cluttering up their message.JBnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8591018003444406729.post-60620681237214723112014-10-01T10:46:33.242-04:002014-10-01T10:46:33.242-04:00He has what they lack--star power and gravitas.
