What I hope to get out of all this is a total capitulation by the lying, arrogant, self serving power elite! I am tired of their shit, and obviously I'm not alone.
As I've said repeatedly, either we get a candidate that SWEARS to get immigration sorted NOW or 40% of the conservative vote stays home.

"Religious and Tea Party economic conservatives were pushed aside in 2014. Mainstream Republicans ran over them; disrespected them. The establishment defeated the hard-liner conservatives in every significant primary battle. They were humiliated. Not again.

In 2016, hard-liner conservatives are going to push back with a vengeance. The Republican National Convention must elect a conservative who can appeal to moderates, not another moderate who can appeal to conservatives, or the hard-liners will bolt and back an independent candidate."

John Davis Political Report
"The Hammer"https://www.blogger.com/profile/16342812251947807673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8591018003444406729.post-43915189754718890812015-08-17T09:41:47.867-04:002015-08-17T09:41:47.867-04:00Hammer, I hear what you say about illegal immigrat...Hammer, I hear what you say about illegal immigration & agree w/ you. The problem is that you've hitched your wagon exclusively to Donald Trump.

I have 2 concerns w/ Donald Trump:

(1) How do YOU know that HE will actually DO what he SAYS he'll do IF he is elected?? I look at his other expressed positions & opinions over the years, and he comes across to me as someone who is just saying what he knows his audience wants to hear. I believe some of these positions/opinions go to a person's core principles, so how does one explain away such important reversals? And please don't use the "it was just business" excuse. Businessmen aren't (or at least shouldn't) be immune from acting on core principles.

(2) I can't get over the coziness w/ the Clintons. No one would dispute that Trump is using up all the oxygen that otherwise might go to one or more of the other candidates. I then look at the recently revealed phone call from Bill Clinton, urging Trump to run (against his own wife??!!). What if all this is DESIGNED to lay the groundwork for a 3rd party candidate, w/ the expressed purpose of torpedoing the Republicans (remember Ross Perot when Bill ran?) resulting in a Hillary win?JBnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8591018003444406729.post-51804174827912710842015-08-16T16:26:41.632-04:002015-08-16T16:26:41.632-04:00Great! Now, what candidate do you think would, or probably more to the point, be ALLOWED to do any of this?
That gentlemen is Trump's appeal. He's rich, he can't be bought, and he wants to do all this and more. So until such time as one of these candidates convinces us this isn't the case any longer, buckle up, the ride will be a lot bumpier. As Rich says above, enforce EXISTING laws.
2. ...1. As Rich says above, enforce EXISTING laws.
2. Build the fence. A tall, strong fence. No other initiatives until this is complete.
3. When the fence is completed, I would advocate for a ninety day period in which illegal aliens could come forward and register. At this point, they would no longer be illegal aliens, and they would not be citizens. They would be identified and issues tracking cards and federal ID numbers. Their continuing residence in the United States would be subject to periodic renewal based on a number of things including 1) behavior 2) employment status.
4. After this ninety day period was up, any remaining illegal aliens who had not come forward for processing (this may have to be six months, I don't know exactly how long it should be) would be deported to their countries of origin.

Call this amnesty if you will, but make sure you speak well of me when you say it. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING new happens until the wall is completed.

There you go, Hammer.
