Glad one canidate is at least advocating cutting expenditures... funny, its the Dem... Republican fiscal responsibility died with Goldwater.... its been a myth since
what is the cost model being used to reflect the demand on the health care system once it is "free" for everyone? i doubt anyone has a clue how much it will cost once we nationalize health care.
Johhny Mac edges right up to almost making a great political point then back off. He lacks the killer instinct . Sad to say we might as well get used to saying President Obama and pray the God gives him devine guidance.
but if you can't keep your word on something as relatively unimportant as campaign financing, how can we expect you to keep your word on your other harder campaign promises?
Once again Johnny Mac nibbled around the adge with Bill Ayers when he should have stressed that the relationship points out once again the poor judgement displayed by Senator Obama time and time again.
Obama isn't answering questions he is using sound bites from his campaign & getting away with it. McCain isn't fairing any better, he needs to attack and he isn't doing it hard enough.
an insurance company is betting that you are going to stay healthy and you are betting that you won't when you enter into a policy. now the government will tell that business that they have to keep betting on you staying healthy even when all the evidence is to the contrary. dumb business.
On ABC
ReplyDeleteShut up, Shieffer.
ReplyDeleteI'm on Fox News. Mudge, you on MSNBC?
ReplyDeleteBad tie, John.
ReplyDeleteBullshit, they are not innocent victims! they are complicit
ReplyDeleteThat IS a bummer of a tie. Almost as much of a bummer as this opening statement of McCain's
ReplyDeleteBlech John
ReplyDeleteZzzz.....
ReplyDeleteyes sally, i'm on msnbc just for you.

ReplyDeleteSCDD. Same Crap Different Debate.
ReplyDeleteMy short term challenge is to make it through the debate without flinging something at the TV.
Joe the Plumber. McCain needs to kill this one.
ReplyDeleteChrist almighty.....
ReplyDeleteI guess we know who Joe will be voting for
ReplyDeleteJohn, what happened to the redistribution of wealth comment?
ReplyDeleteIs McCain a Nuke Navy guy? Can't he give an easy answer ever?
ReplyDeleteMcCain looks like Dr. Evil
ReplyDelete95% of working families don't pay taxes.
ReplyDeleteThere you go John!
ReplyDeleteIf you are a small business that makes less than $200K, you are not profitable.
ReplyDeleteNow you're talkin' john
ReplyDeletehere it goes!!! well done john!
ReplyDeletebut get rid of the smug face!
ReplyDeleteJoe the Plummer is a star now.
ReplyDeleteLet's use parallelism here. Joe the Plumber. Warren the Investor.
ReplyDeleteIs "Joe the Plummer" the new "Joe Bag O'Donuts" or "Joe 6-Pack?"
ReplyDeleteWait a second; it is either patriotic to pay taxes (Biden) or "no one likes taxes"
ReplyDeleteObama on the balanced budget coming up
ReplyDeleteLet's see if Shieffer lets him off the hook with a non-answer.
ReplyDeleteLiving beyond our means? Good Barack...is it just government, or your voters also?
ReplyDelete"Programs that don't work.." Is Obama going to cut the DDG then?
ReplyDeleteGood God somebody give McCain a kick in the ass for a jump start. He displays all the enrgy of a corpse.
ReplyDeleteGlad one canidate is at least advocating cutting expenditures... funny, its the Dem... Republican fiscal responsibility died with Goldwater.... its been a myth since
ReplyDelete"borrow from China to send to Saudi Arabia" good line...
ReplyDeletepropose. you can propose in one hand and and do something else less savory in the other and see which one gets filled first.
ReplyDeleteI only heard him talk about cutting one program -- subsidies to insurance companies.
ReplyDeletewhat is the cost model being used to reflect the demand on the health care system once it is "free" for everyone? i doubt anyone has a clue how much it will cost once we nationalize health care.
ReplyDeleteGood John.
ReplyDeleteBoth will promise the American voter anything and everything before the election .
ReplyDeleteGood comment.. your party, John is the one that got out of control (spending...)
ReplyDeletePresident McCain will be no friend of the USAF
ReplyDeleteis it just me or does anyone think his claims to "know how to save billions of dollars," sound weird?
ReplyDeleteHe's making me nostalgic for the bear in Montana DNA story.
ReplyDeletefolks, hate to tell you but its over... and my guess is the DEMs are going to get 60+ senators too.....
ReplyDeleteObama is the classic scalpel man.
ReplyDeleteObama's winning this.
ReplyDeleteGreat line McCain!!
ReplyDeleteohhhhh!!!!! Nice!
ReplyDeleteLove the Bush line. It's what Americans want to hear.
ReplyDeleteBalance the budget john? Not with all the candy you're giving away
ReplyDeleteGood response on Bush. What's with Obama's smirk?
ReplyDeleteconcur, great mccain comment about running against Bush
ReplyDeleteObama doesn't look good.
ReplyDeleteWhen Dr. McCain get angry, Mr. Bigglesworth gets upset and when Mr. Bigglesworth gets upset people die!!!

ReplyDeleteA revisionist history of reaching across the aisle
ReplyDeleteeight more years? did we change term limits?
ReplyDeleteQuit talking about this and let's move on to ANYTHING else.
ReplyDeleteGlad he is taking the gloves off.
ReplyDeleteNo attacking fellow posters.
ReplyDeleteMcCain should say, "I stand by my comments."
ReplyDeleteOh, this is going to be good...
ReplyDelete"i'm not running for homecoming queen" go on, say it.
ReplyDeleteHistory is replete with negative campaigns.
ReplyDeleteDon't be a wuss John
ReplyDeleteLet's see if the weasel says anything.
ReplyDeleteAttack!!!
ReplyDeleteyou didn't keep your word. say it again. you didn't keep your word.
ReplyDeleteGreat comments on integrity.
ReplyDeleteI like the you didn't keep your word comment!!!
ReplyDeleteI hate it when he says, "Well look...."
ReplyDelete100%? Come on.
ReplyDeleteMcCain needs more stronger language and comments that attack lack of integrity, aloofness, elitism, etc, that the American public does not like.
ReplyDeleteOne of these guys looks and sounds presidential....and it's not the guy I'm voting for.
ReplyDeleteMcCain has no position on immigration.
ReplyDeleteI'm on CNN-McCain is doing well with men on the approval meter.
ReplyDeleteJohhny Mac edges right up to almost making a great political point then back off. He lacks the killer instinct . Sad to say we might as well get used to saying President Obama and pray the God gives him devine guidance.
ReplyDeletebut if you can't keep your word on something as relatively unimportant as campaign financing, how can we expect you to keep your word on your other harder campaign promises?
ReplyDeleteHold him to the repudiate comment
ReplyDelete"The party's over...it's time to call it a day....."
ReplyDeleteObama is sinking on the CNN approval meter. Maybe he should quit whining.
ReplyDeleteMcCain needed a "Debate 101" class on how to counter arguments instead of spewing your talking points.
ReplyDeleteGo to the character issues with Obama.
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell is McCain talking about?
ReplyDeletePandering now. Come on John.
ReplyDeleteMcCain can look mean when he wants.
ReplyDeleteYes-get the c--t tshirt comment out. Good for McCain
ReplyDeleteMcCain should keep attacking. Frankly he is losing on the issues, so he might as well go on a different front.
ReplyDeleteHE'S GOING THERE. Oh my.
ReplyDeleteThat was an interesting seque. Did I miss something?
ReplyDeleteNot Ayers, how about Judgement and Character as the centerpiece.
ReplyDeleteWhat does it matter how old you were when it happened?
ReplyDeletePointing out others' bad judgment does not absolve you of yours.
Just filled out a bunch of names (who could later vote fraudulently).
ReplyDeleteHe paid them 800,000. How can he pretend to not know what they're about.
ReplyDelete"And those who shaped my ideas and were captured on video I later threw under the bus."
ReplyDeleteObama looks like a jerk when he's laughing at him
ReplyDeleteMcCain can't string together a coherent argument....his lack of legal training hurts him.
ReplyDeleteMaverick has gone into a flat spin. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteThis is a BS question.
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be tough for McCain to answer
ReplyDeleteI think I just heard someone start playing Taps somewhere.
ReplyDeleteTalk about executive experience, picking out a cabinet, running a state.
ReplyDeleteThis has definitely been the best debate; don't you think?
ReplyDeleteOnce again Johnny Mac nibbled around the adge with Bill Ayers when he should have stressed that the relationship points out once again the poor judgement displayed by Senator Obama time and time again.
ReplyDeleteMcCain should diffuse the question with some humor about the question being biased against AARP members.
ReplyDeleteYes, women seem to have really embraced her John.
ReplyDeleteJohn's blowing this one, but then again, I don't think he's got a lot to work for.
ReplyDeleteyuck, John
ReplyDeleteObama isn't answering questions he is using sound bites from his campaign & getting away with it. McCain isn't fairing any better, he needs to attack and he isn't doing it hard enough.
ReplyDeleteObama is countering every McCain punch. McCain needs to throw harder punches.

ReplyDeleteGood mention of Nuke ships.
ReplyDeletesure. we apparently heated up the whole globe. so says nobel laureate academy award winner gore
ReplyDeleteDrill baby, drill...
ReplyDeletePrice of gas is down by 30%. McCain should mention that because of putting foreign oil on the hook.
I don't mind a mortgage on my future...as long as it isn't subprime... ok. I'm sorry for that one.
ReplyDeleteisn't his party the one who told them they couldnt drill on those leases?
ReplyDeleteMcCain needs to look at the camera when he answers like Obama. Men don't like Obama's drilling talk, by the way.
ReplyDeleteObama slipping....
ReplyDeleteWant to build cars in American and still cater to the Unions? Good luck Barack.
ReplyDeletenafta was approved by clinton
ReplyDeleteWonder what percentage of Americans buy foreign cars because the American cars they have are garbage.
ReplyDeletewhen they are bailing us out by owning over $1T in our debt how are we going to enforce that?
ReplyDeleteLove the"look at" comment.
ReplyDeleteMcCain's getting a little stronger, but still behind.
ReplyDeletetwo Hondas right here.
ReplyDeleteJohn finally used a debate tactic. Beat him over the head with his own words.
ReplyDeletedon't roll your eyes, john.
ReplyDeleteby the way, senator obama's wearing an american flag pin and mccain's not. mccain must not be a patriot :)
ReplyDeleteMcCain should attack the union influence on cars, prices, and poor workmanship.
ReplyDeleteGreat line on Chavez
ReplyDeleteHealth care -- A right or responsibility?
ReplyDeleteThis is McCain's chance to really explain his health care plan. In depth, for a change.
ReplyDeletebullshit...they have cobra!
ReplyDeleteWhat was there problem Barack? Overweight? Smokers like yourself?
ReplyDeleteMccain better be able to explain his own plan better than he did last time.
ReplyDeleteHow are you going to cut costs if you stay with your present plan?
ReplyDeletetheir, not there. I hate mis-spelling words.
ReplyDeleteTalk about how expensive Obama's plan will be.
ReplyDeletean insurance company is betting that you are going to stay healthy and you are betting that you won't when you enter into a policy. now the government will tell that business that they have to keep betting on you staying healthy even when all the evidence is to the contrary. dumb business.
ReplyDeleteFitness, like all Navy guys practice.
ReplyDeleteJoe's back!
ReplyDeletepoor joe the plumber. he's going to have no time to fix toilets with all the media about to surround him. hope he keeps his crack hidden on camera.
ReplyDeleteYou know, if mccain just explained his own plan, it stands on its merits.
ReplyDeleteCall him on it, John
ReplyDeleteMcCain bottoming out on CNN
ReplyDeleteMcCain's screwing this UPPPPP
ReplyDeletePOW!!! Way to hit it John!!
ReplyDeleteShieffer got higher ratings asking his question than McCain is getting right now.
ReplyDeleteObama draws blood whenver he talks about taxing health care, and Mccain hasn't mitigated it yet.
ReplyDeleteSenator Government!
ReplyDeleteSenator Government!
ReplyDeleteObama should say JOE you are rich, you make 200K and thus are in the top 1% of all american earners
ReplyDeleteMcCain's doing well on this. The approval meter seems to think so as well.
ReplyDeleteNo litmus test. Good answer.
ReplyDeleteLet's see what Barack says about this.
ReplyDeleteGood answer on judges.
ReplyDeleteMcCain is doing well on this judge question.
ReplyDeleteDo you think the Born Alive Infant Protection Act will come up?
ReplyDeleteMcCain should attack this. Moral issues decided from the Supreme Court?
ReplyDeleteTalk about Born Alive IPA and morality associated with it, John.
ReplyDeleteObama's a lawyer; ledbetter sued under the wrong statute. he knows that.
ReplyDeleteHere we go....
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Obama will have some lame explanation for this.
ReplyDeleteSerious quibbling on this. Just say you were against it, Obama
ReplyDeleteThen why did you vote against it in the US Senate?
ReplyDeleteMcCain strong on this, but Obama not bad either.
ReplyDeleteKill one life to save another, Barack?
ReplyDeleteCavalier activity? Well I never!
ReplyDeleteObama losing N.O.W. vote
ReplyDeleteMcCain scoring well on CNN
ReplyDeleteHit Obama on taxpayer-funded abortion!
ReplyDeleteMore per capita spending! How bout that...
ReplyDeleteEducation is a National Security issue? Send them to a military academy.
ReplyDeletethe only way a dem will lose the now vote is if they only vote present
ReplyDelete"We're going to have to invest." Code for raising taxes.
ReplyDeleteNot everyone should go to college. Sorry, don't agree with that one.
ReplyDeleteObama of the chart on CNN
ReplyDeleteHow about limiting teacher's unions?
ReplyDeleteObama hit that out of the park....
ReplyDeleteWashington DC, anyone?
ReplyDeleteabolish the dept of education would be my first act to improve education
ReplyDeleteMore student loans and grants equals higher tuition.
ReplyDeleteLook how well local control of schools has done in DC, Barack.
ReplyDeleteI think McCain sounds pretty good on education.
ReplyDeleteOf course, Obama, federal government is always the answer
www.theatlantic.com/doc/200806/college
ReplyDeleteIn the Basement of the Ivory Tower.
'I doubled them" how did you do that, Barack?
ReplyDeleteMcCain should call out DC public school system.
ReplyDeleteDid you hear Obama on bad teachers? He quickly threw in: "Give them another chance..."
Damn. Obama SOUNDS pretty good on this, even if he's dead wrong on most of this issue.
ReplyDelete
