Well, CW'ers, we're going to find ourselves in the loyal opposition. Guess what--from a blog/entertainment perspective, I expect it to be great fun, and very, very interesting. Now of course, the country has to suffer the pain of the Obama Administration/Pelosi/Reid....but I'm going to have a hoot with this blog. Are you with me?
I'm in. What do we do first?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait 'til the next urban traffic light I am at and the bum with his "hungry" sign starts pacing the line. I'm going to roll my window down and when he comes over for a handout I'll tell him, "I just want to congratulate you on your candidates victory".
ReplyDeleteThen I shall push the button and close the window on him.
I'm all in bro.
ReplyDeleteafter the horible past 8 years? No way... hard to see anyone do worse than GWB
ReplyDeleteBut of course. We can start with the media. Just how long will they allow the "Honeymoon Period?" It's been 20 months thus far -- will it last another 48 months? And now who will they blame?
ReplyDeleteThe 2012 election cycle starts in 31 minutes
ReplyDeleteI stand by the CW.
ReplyDeleteI am feeling damn smart right now, all things considered. Those of us who developed the recently submitted Army POM (budget for the next 5 years) built it on the assumption that Obama would win the election. Of course, those proceedings were extremely sensitive, but the analysis that went into it was tight, apolitical, and truly unbiased. And sobering.
ReplyDeleteBob scares me.
ReplyDeleteI think Obama is boxed in. The federal debt and economy will prevent much swing to the left.
Do you think Obama will be sending his girls to DC Public schools?
ReplyDeleteI'm in. Maybe our clarion call can be, "No you didn't!"
ReplyDeleteI would first and foremost ask everybody to pray that President- Elect Obama becomes the greatest president this country has ever seen and leaves America in better condition than it was when he was elected.
ReplyDeleteWe should support him where we can and loyally oppose him where we must.
"United we stand, divided we fall."
God bless America.
Mr Bauer
ReplyDeleteI say old man, what do you find disturbing about giving a member of the victorious party a rousing "Job well done"?

JERUSALEM - Israel may be the only place in the world that was not ecstatic at Barack Obama's victory in Tuesday's U.S. presidential election.
What was Barry O's support % among American Jews?
I hope at least one of them, just one, watches the news reports this morning depicting Muslims dancing in the streets and mutters, 'oy vey'.
Ugh, it wasn't all a bad dream. Count me among the ranks of His Majesty's Loyal Opposition.

ReplyDeleteWhat an excellent outcome! For the Russians...
ReplyDeleteMaybe now is the time to invest in Ukranian brothels...
ReplyDeleteBob,
ReplyDeleteYou would really take pleasure in jacking with a bum?
#1 I would say that quite a few homeless people have real mental problems and are living in survival mode. It's not just a matter of waking up and saying " dadburn it, I'm going to make something of myself today." They could probably give a crap who the president is. #2 Even if the bastard is gloating, I would say being a sore loser is equally as bad as a boastful winner. I'm pretty sure I learned that in Kindergarten.
Maybe ACORN should keep everything you wrote in mind when they are registering him to vote next election.
ReplyDeleteBut if you think jacking with a bum is juvenile, what about my idea of writing on each U.S. bill I spend, something like, "This dollar (or $10 or $20) is courtesy of a hardworking taxpayer, try to have a little gratitude you bum".
Again, juvenile and certainly not up to the high standards that the Conservative Wahoo sets for all of us. But it's kind of like throwing my wooden shoe into the Democrats knitting loom.
