I see this mentioned every once in awhile over at the NRO. I'm seriously tempted, but will pass this time. It sounds more like a mancation for political nerds rather than Mrs. Goldwater's idea of a romantic getaway. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I guess the attraction for me is 1) the politics, obviously, but 2) the ports....I've been to some of these places GG, and they are RIDICULOUSLY romantic. Mrs. GG can enjoy herself while you're we're at sea listening to great politics, and you can go off and visit these great ports when the ship docks. i think it's the best of both worlds....
I'd be interested in reading the force protection plan. What between pirates, terrorists and democrats, the queue to attack this ship would span the entire Med.
