New Book on the '08 Campaign

Dan Balz, political reporter for the Washington Post, has a new book coming out on the 2008 Presidential election, and the Post is serializing it this week. Balz is a solid reporter who tends to be fact-based and yes, unbiased. That comes through in this bit of serialization, which tells an inside story of the events leading to Sarah Palin's selection as running mate.

I was pleased to see that it did not turn into yet another Palin bashing exercise. In fact, she seems to come off rather well in this treatment.
