No Terrorism Here, Move Along

The world's first vicitim of Pre-Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome ('cause that's really the only rational explanation for Nidal Hassan's act) is reported to have tried to make contact with Al Qaeda. Not that he's a terrorist or anything.

  1. What I'm having a hard time with is how many on the Left and the MSM appear to fall all over themselves to make the religious extremism connection when a nutjob takes out an abortion doctor, but are either unable or unwilling to make the connection here.

  2. I get it, CNN, he's a nut. But so are all people willing to strap dynamite to a 14 year old girl and make her walk up to enemy soldiers. He handed out Korans, spoke highly of suicide bombers who killed his fellow soldiers, dressed in jihad garb the day of his rampage, and now, we find, he may have tried to contact Al Qaida.

What more do you have to do to be labeled a terrorist? I suppose even wearing a sign that states "I am a terrorist" could be explained away.

  3. The lame-stream media has been totally predictable on this one.
But you know what baffles me, other than fractions, is why aren't soldiers on post allowed to carry sidearms. Are we not at war? In the field soldiers are required to bring their weapon to the latrine. Why is Stateside different? It's not like these people haven't been screened. If the Army won't issue one of those cute little NATO Berettas, let the troops go buy their own. A military post is an absolute weapons free zone and considering the business they're in, that is just weird to me.
