What Passes For News At The Washington Post

Today, we're treated to this story (news? analysis?--it really isn't clear, at least in the online additions) in which our intrepid reporter (under the subheadline "It's a Grand Old Purging...") recounts the inside story of Dede Scozzafava's withdrawl from NY 23.

It really is part of the narrative that Ms. Scozzafava--who "fava's" 1) card check 2) gay marriage 3) the stimulus 4) Obamacare and 5) is married to a union organizer--was a "moderate" Republican. This is hogwash--the woman was a liberal, pure and simple. There is little or nothing but political opportunism in her choice of the Republican Party--as the district had previously been solidly Republican for decades.

  1. You know screw New York. The useless God Damn jerks are forever mucking up their state. Their restaurants and hospitals have roaches the size of gila monsters. Their women look like beat up old gangster molls (if in fact they are women). They'll charge you for a glass of water and then again to use the toilet. They breed like rabbits on Levitra and when they finally can't stand smelling each other's BO they hit the road. When they get to FL, NC, GA, CA, VA (take your pick) they do their damnedest to put the same kind of inept thugs in office that precipitated their moving out of New York to begin with. They're gypsies, knackers, pikers. They're from nowhere with loyalty to nothing. They just gravitate toward the trough with the most feed. They're loud, ineradicably obnoxious and unrelenting. They are New Yorkers and I'd rather have an incurable STD than one as a neighbor.

  3. Yes I do. You know it's weird, I actually like people from New Jersey. I was at Fort Monmouth back in ancient times and I loved it. I just know I could sit at the bar with Tony Soprano and enjoy an 1844 Upmann (with the Cameroon wrapper) and we'd get along just fine. Of course I'd have to slap Paulie around. But if you really want to hear a rant just get me started on South Carolina!

So, I'm guessing you would also be from NY?
