I heard this story on NPR yesterday and then saw it online this morning; the last known "official" survivor of BOTH atomic bombs dropped on Japan to end WWII has died at 93.
So we're supposed to think this guy a victim? Is that it? I tend to mourn more for the nuns raped in the streets of Manila. I don't like stories like this. They invariable suggest we should feel guilty for doing what had to be done. Why else would they even mention this guy's passing? My only regret about how we handled the war (peace) with Japan is we gave the Emperor a pass. We should have tried him and hanged him, on the grounds of the Imperial Palace.
