The decline in daily readership on the blog continues. A couple of theories:
1. We just didn't publish as much content in May as usual
2. I have not personally published as much, nor have I been as active in marketing posts via Twitter and Facebook. Problem is, when I leave the farm for DC at 0515 and then don't post/blog anything all day, I don't get anything out onto Facebook either.
3. We suck more?
Natural progression. Blog content has to be fresh daily or folks don't come back every day. Your stats don't tell the whole story either, because many people use feed readers. I only hit the actual blog when I want to comment on something.
ReplyDeleteDon't be discouraged, it's the beginning of summer and folks aren't spending as much time in front of the computer.
ReplyDeleteWhat is May 2010 v. May 2009?
Or it's just that we suck more.
You've been MIA CW. You're at a crossroads. You need to take a long hard look at yourself and your priorities. Do you really want to do this or do you want to keep and cultivate all those Pentagon contacts?
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of sick human being puts his own narrow self interest against the needs of the many? Have you not been paying attention? This is the age of Obama and all you can think of is me me me!
Everybody was tuning in for your weekly weight loss updates, but when you became a Fatty McButterpants again, they lost interest.
ReplyDeleteFatty McButterpants. Funny.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ken, I also mostly just read through my feed reader and only click on the site when I want to comment. A secret - don't post the whole post on the feed.
ReplyDeleteJust don't ask me how to do it.
Musing--damn straight--let me know how!
