The Kitten's given me a liberty pass for a few hours this morning, so I'm headed out to John Melton's field blind with him and Judge Atkins for a few hours of the Eastern Shore's favorite winter pastime.
Since there was no BFFFFA, may I use this space to vent?
What is it with these Administrative Agencies - EPA, FCC - bypassing Congress and MAKING law? Aren't they in place to carry out the will of the people/congress, not to impose their own?
Bravo Doc--Regulation by these agencies is out of control and a convenient means of bypassing the painful legislative route that usually crushes really bad ideas (past two years notwithstanding). So if you want to get really bad laws passed, and the voters haven't recently taken leave of their senses a la 2008, it's a lot easier if you bypass all that constitutional mumbo jumbo and just write regulations inside the cabinet. The sad thing is, when the Bush administration tried to lift a lot of these unlegislated restrictions on our freedoms, a not so small segment of our citizenry squealed loudly that what he was doing was somehow an affront to our rights as citizens. Wow.
Oh yeah, the reason I visited here was to see how you did in the blind, CW. How many geese fell to your new Benelli? Also would like a rounds expended and bore report.
Do you intend to laugh the geese to death with that get-up?
ReplyDeleteI kid.
You look more like Nixon every time I see you. 20 years ago, you would have ridiculed anyone wearing (non-issue) camo, and now you OWN some.
