From a Krugman blog post this morning--entitled "The Years of Shame":
"What happened after 9/11 — and I think even people on the right know this, whether they admit it or not — was deeply shameful. Te atrocity should have been a unifying event, but instead it became a wedge issue. Fake heroes like Bernie Kerik, Rudy Giuliani, and, yes, George W. Bush raced to cash in on the horror. And then the attack was used to justify an unrelated war the neocons wanted to fight, for all the wrong reasons."
That's right folks--George W. Bush "cashed in" on the horror.
How this man continues to be thought of as a serious thinker escapes me.
He's just saying what liberals believe.

Every time he pens a word, the worth of the NY Times drops another penny. With this latest piece of Krugal matter, it appears his worth drop per word rate has increased to at least a nickel.
ReplyDeleteBernie and Rudy certainly cashed in...only difference is Bernie's doing time.
