I fully expected from MoDo this Sunday a scathing piece on Newt, but somehow she resisted the temptation and instead turned her formidable knives on the Obamas. Best line: 'the president and the first lady do believe in American exceptionalism — their own...'
Read the whole thing here.
I'd rather have Al Green as president.
ReplyDeleteShe simply cannot resist the GWB reference. The woman is obsessed.
ReplyDeleteShe could write a piece on the 1928 NY Yankees and still work in a shot at W.
ReplyDelete"As Michelle said to Oprah in an interview she did with the president last May: “I always told the voters, the question isn’t whether Barack Obama is ready to be president. The question is whether we’re ready."
ReplyDeleteI for one was not ready to have an inexperienced, unqualified person who had never held a true position of responsibility to be my president. His performance to date justfied my fears.

ReplyDeleteI'm always so fascinated at the comments after such articles as the Dowd piece. There really is a large population of people who actually worship this guy as a savior. They see him as smarter and more complex than mere mortals and, therefore, anyone who doesn't support him simply must be too stupid or unable to grasp such a complex man's thinking. What is also interesting is how so many of the defending comments were from non-Americans. To all of them I say, instead of writing to berate liberal American columnists who have finally, after 3 years of smelling salts being brushed under their noses, awakened to realize the collosal failure this man is, write the Obamas an invitation to come be YOUR leader. We'll pay his (one) way.
