Well I read the God damned thing and I don't recall ever reading a more disingenuous load of bullshit in me life. Who does Sullivan think he's talking to, total fools? You'd have to be mainlining the Kool-Aid to believe a word of it. Here's just a sample...
"A caveat: I write this as an unabashed supporter of Obama from early 2007 on. I did so not as a liberal, but as a conservative-minded independent ..."
What's really dumb about this is the headline. Sullivan is being Sullivan--and we can ask little else. But the point of the article--that both left and right are getting the President wrong--is getting lost in the translation, as only our side believes it applies to us. That said, what it also indicates is that Barack Obama and Andrew Sullivan are the only ones smart enough to "get it", which is ridiculous.
Did you read the article at all?
ReplyDeleteNope, and have no intention of doing so.
ReplyDeleteNaturally.
ReplyDeleteI really shouldn't, but I'll ask anyway. What was that 'naturally' intended to convey to me?

ReplyDeleteI'm not going to read it because I'm too dumb.
