  1. And forget further patronage of this blog if you ever again link to Perez Hilton.

  2. Sally, go easy on CW. I'm sure that in his severe grief over Michael now Billy, that he accidentally linked to one of his favorites instead of the article. But, CW, I have to warn you, if that freak Hilton somehow has my IP because I followed your link, I'm going to have to sue you.

My wife yelled out the window to me that he died and the whole time I was doing yard work, I thought Willie Mays died.

For years Billy Mays was the one person on the planet who could make me leap over furniture to hit the mute button on my remote control. And what irony that he was perma-muted by luggage going "KABOOM" on his head.

  6. The question is, who are the next two celebrities to fall? We had three last week, we must have three this week. I love the comment that Billy Mays' beard looked like it was drawn-on by a Sharpie. Classic!!

  7. I vote for Rosie O'Donnell and Jane Fonda. No, wait, Perez Hilton...hmmm, this is really a tough one. So many good choices. Hey, just checking, is the Speaker of the House considered a celebrity?

  8. Mudge, we don't want to lose our girl Nancy, we need her to remain front and center. Let's go with Janine Garafalo and Barbara Streisand. No wait, Susan Sarandon would be better.

    Damn, this IS tough.

so we are wishing for people's deaths now? If you were predicting, then logic might dictate some good conservatives on that list. That there aren't any, indicates hope rather than prognostication.
    That's a little bent.

  10. Shame shame. You are correct except that the category was "celebrity" which immediately evokes thoughts of Hollywood. I know of but a handful of "conservatives" who bide any noteworthy part of their time in Hollywood. I was merely asking about Mme Speaker's qualifications as a celebrity because she resides on the left coast, frequents the little ville beneath the sign and counts among her handful of supporters, most everyone in Hollywood. I was just thinking that if we lost more Hollywood celebrities, soon, perhaps Mme Speaker would be voted out of office for a long and healthy life...on the west coast for the rest of her life.
Sally - Good choices but I have a hard time forgetting a much more pleasing Susan Sarandon standing timidly as hoardes of Michael Jacksonesque dancers performed The Time Warp back in the 70s. Much as she annoys me now, I'm not quite ready for her to be in the Time Life Year in Review for 2009.
