The Soft Bigotry Of Low Expectations

The New York Daily News is reporting that the Obama Administration, as well as some in the upper echelons of the Democratic National Committee, is subtly urging New York Governor David Paterson not to seek re-election in 2010. Is this an acknowledgment by Democrats of Gov. Paterson’s executive incompetence, or something more…sinister?

It would certainly help to fuel rumors of a Hillary run.

  1. An obvious case of racism. they would not have done this to a white governor.

  3. If Hillary does leave her post as the most effective Secretary of State since this Administration took office, (hey, my mom told me always to try to find something nice to say about someone), what tax cheat who is also a New Yorker do you think would be qualified to assume her vacancy?. I vote for Charlie Rangel. Maybe he could then set up his condo in the DomRep as an Ambassadorial Office write off. Hey, why not. Everything else seems to be "on the table" these days.
