Big Fat Friday Free For All

All Time High (April 1 2009): 192.2
Diet start (June 1): 189
Last Friday: 177.8
Today: 175.4
Goal: Sub 150

Solid week here, with reasonable exercise and only a few dieting indiscretions. Sorry I'm at this a bit late this morning, but events ran on a bit last night.

So, what's on your mind people? The Massachusetts Senate race got you fired up? Wondering what impact a Brown victory could have on healthcare? All excited and can't wait until next Wednesday's Conservative Wahoo Live! internet radio show?

Sit down, pull up a chair. Unburden yourselves.

Now doing two-a-days, decreased my fat intake to about 20 grams per day yet I went from 194.5 to 193. I figured the first 10 would be easy, then I'd hit a wall. Guess I was wrong on that one

Loved the deal Obowma cut with his union buddies last night.

The first thing the Obamunists thought when notified of the Haitian quake was, "How will we use this to OUR advantage".

  2. A couple of thoughts. Brown ain't gonna win in Mass. Get it out of your head. The Unions, ACORN and friends will steal this election before they let that happen. Hell, they're S.O.P. is to steal two or three percent anyway, but if that's not enough, I'm sure they have a contingency plan. So forget it.

One more thing. I think the Democrats had something to do with this Haiti business. It knocked Harry Reid off the front pages and they get to do what they do best, spend our money. A year from now Haiti will look much as it does now, but BNP Paribas will have a few more very rich depositors. And so it goes.

  3. I find myself agreeing with the Hammer on Scott Brown--I find it almost inconceivable that the machine would allow his victory. But I have "hope".

  4. You say that as if it's in spite of your better judgment.
    Get over yourself.

  5. transparent is something you can see through. Something you can see through isn't normally visible as in it is clear or translucent. Translucent allows light to pass through without clarity. SO, health care discussions behind closed doors is something that isn't visible therefore it is transparent and without clarity.

Bill - That was almost Clinton-esque the way you redefined the word. Bill...Clintonesque, Bill Clin...hey, what are YOU doing here? I'll bet you thought "wahoo" was slang for chubby girl.

    Over to you Hammer....

  7. No, no, no, "Skeetwagon" is slang for a chubby girl.

Hammer - "Wahoo slang for chubby girl?"

Could I not have lobbed you an easier cross-court slam back at CW?

Game, set, match CW because Hammer was adjusting his jockstrap at match point.

  9. What are your thoughts on a statement a friend of mine made about Pat Robertson's comments on Haiti having a pact with the Devil. He said, "We expect/desire "moderate Muslims" to speak up against extremist but we don't have the same expectations/desires of other religious communities... a double standard?"

  10. I could see a scenario where Brown wins by less than two percentage points, followed by calls of fraud and voter intimidation by the usual suspects. They'll demand an investigation, and they'll get one, with the Secretary of State vowing not to certify the results until after every vote has been counted (real or otherwise). The process will drag on for months, as the Dmachine fully intended, so Brown's promised 41st vote becomes irrelevant.

  11. Call me a Reagan optimist; however, I see a 7 point win for Brown on Tuesday, even with POTUS heading up to Mass on Sunday. Wishful thinking, perhaps. Remember the outcome of the Christie and Deeds' campaigns. "Hope is a good thing" - Andy Dufresne

  12. When the "light skinned, articulate one" visits the Bay State it will remind them of their very own "light skinned, articulate one" and they will come to the conclusion that both are Democrats, both have exceeded their Peter Principle and it is time for a change in the commonwealth. Brown in a landslide.

  13. Jumper--no, I don't think a double standard at all--and I think Christians of all stripe are rapidly and forcefully coming out against his comments.

  14. No traffic about "Vegetable-gate?"

The Food Network had an Iron Chef episode that purported to use veggies from Michelle Obama's garden. However, on closer inspection, the veggies used were stunt-doubles from New York.

Savvy New York television producers are obviously aware of the quality of "vegetables" hanging around the White House these days, thus, they couldn't bear to have them on The Iron Chef.
