"A Nice Piece of Gear"

We used to talk about new technology, weapons, sensors etc in God's Navy as "a nice piece of gear".  Here's one we'll be talking about for decades to come.

  1. Thanks. Next time I'm near a rail I'll keep this in mind.

  2. My Navy posts really do bother you, don't they?

  3. No not really. Sometimes they're interesting. I just don't understand the weapon. What does it do? What is it good for? It looks like it's shooting some projectile but what is it?
Oh by the way, tell you old man Happy Birthday.

  5. Love the rail launcher. The Navy has been working on this thing for 20 years. It may be on a ship in another 10. This thing will revolutionize SDS and big time Mahanian sea control. Heck, Corbett might even give Mahan a nod with this thing.

  6. See, you learn something new everyday. Alfred Thayer Mahan ("Mahanian" thanks Anon) the Liddell Hart of deep water navies. Of course he probably served under David Farragut that traitorous Union loving bastard which makes him a bastard by proxy.
