Who is John Galt?

Well, of course I know--but I didn't find out after watching the movie yesterday.  Because I didn't go to the movie yesterday.  Yes, yes, advance tickets purchased ten days early and all didn't seem to register in my mind when I accepted two conference calls DURING THE MOVIE.  And so, I will have to wait.

Anyone else go?

Update:  Courtesy Instapundit and Youtube, below is some of the coverage of the premier.  I think the guy they got for Hank Reardon is EXACTLY as I imagined him.

  1. And you call yourself a conservative. Shame on you.

    Nah, I didn't go either.

  2. Good film. Storyline seems true to my 15-years-past reading. Mrs. Adams, who read the book again last summer, approved heartily.
Professional reviewers will probably pan it. Early scenes were a bit difficult to follow, but that settled out once the action started to focus on Dagny Taggart.

One surprise, in the credits, was a statement that "This film was made with the approval, but not the participation, of the Ayn Rand estate."

  3. I expect the movie to be a minor hit and universally ignored by the establishment media.

  4. You purchased your tickets 10 days in advance for this film? And I thought I was a geek...
