Here's One Problem Solved

Oh you naysayers, you detractors, you malcontents; when will you put aside your prejudice, your bigotry, your obdurate racism and admit our beloved President has finally and forever solved one of the most egregious and immoral problems facing our society. I refer of course to homelessness.

As I'm sure you're aware, this was a terrible problem in the time of the Reagan/Bush takeover. It abated for the most part with Bill Clinton's wise and considered stewardship of our great nation, but came back with a vengeance during the Bush II regime.

Now under the awe-inspiring leadership of President Barack Obama, burdened by the most trying of circumstances not of his making, the problem has been definitively and decisively eradicated. One need only watch our ever diligent network news to draw this incontrovertible conclusion.

  1. Don't know where you've been this week, but there was a huge 60 Minutes piece on the homeless families living in cars in Florida.

    http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=7389750n&tag=contentBody;storyMediaBox

The piece generated a lot of second order reports, and the "reporters notebook" piece on finding the homeless - unlike the drunk/ crazy/ druggie homeless, who wander the streets and panhandle and flat-out don't give a damn, the broke/ family/ kids / living out of cars homeless walk the fine line finding a place to park where they won't get robbed, arrested or harassed - and trying to get their kids to school.

Tragic irony is that these homeless families are in areas where there was also the biggest housing bust, and many vacant homes.

  2. Yeah I saw that NA. That and the multitudes of vagrants populating the highway off ramps and shopping centers and city parks is what precipitated my, eh... Juvenalian, and hopefully entertaining indictment of the network talking head ass-kissers.

At least in my area, there are more bums and panhandlers that I have ever seen in my short life. Where is the outrage?

  3. My wife and I have been asking this question for many decades. We have noticed from the television news that during Republican administrations, the cities of our country are inundated with poor homeless people. Miraculously they (or at least the news reports) disappear almost immediately after the final vote count that elects a Democrat administration. Is the MSM vying with the Democratic Party for the title of "Greatest Hypocrites?
