ReplyDeleteSee? There is no such thing as a quote unquote conservative "NY Times columnist", and hasn't been for years, maybe decades. Brooks would be completely comfortable in Lyndon Johnson's or Jimmy Carter's or for that matter Barack Obama's Democratic party. He calls himself a conservative because the NY Times want a "conservative" on staff. Ideologically and philosophically he is a mainstream garden variety Democrat.
