Last year, I had a rhinoplasty to fix a deviated septum, and while I didn't need the bones broken, (just cartiledge cut and moved around) I had 2 back eyes, yet my nose itself looked normal and un-bruised. So if he had it set, entirely possible that it's just a break.
That said, he could use some plastic surgery. To paraphrase the dude Jacob in "Crazy Stupid Love," "The skin under his eyes is starting to look like Hugh Hefner's ball sack."
He's an abused husband...just like me.
