Marco Rubio Has Competition

Many readers know that I've been advocating a "Romney-Rubio" ticket here on the blog.  To be specific, I've advocated Romney making that offer NOW, rather than waiting until the convention.

But my, oh my, if this man would consider the #2 spot....things would be shaken up in a big way.

  1. Agreed but he'll be positioned as just another Republican white guy out to kill social security and medicare. I'd rather have Rubio or a woman. Now what woman has the chops to be one heartbeat away from the President and has campaign experience therefore can hit the ground running? I wonder?

  2. Granted that VEEP and POTUS are two different jobs, but isn't Rubio just as inexperienced as Obama was when he ran? More to recommend Ryan.

  3. I like the heck out of this man. But I'm not sure I agree, CW. We may need him in the House on Capitol Hill more than the one on Pennsylvania Avenue. There is no one alive who comes close to his combination of vision, sobriety and capability when it comes to rescuing this country from what the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said was his number one national security concern. Ryan's, and our, challenge is that he's kind of like someone trying to preach abstinence in the middle of an orgy.
