Maryland, especially that which does NOT include the I-95 corridor, has some beautiful geography. You have chosen to live in what I believe to be one of the best parts of that state. I graduated from HS and College (to the degree that USNA is "college") in the PDRM, which constituted a sum total of 5.5 years as a Maryland tax servant. I made the decision that the very second I could declare my legal residence elsewhere, I would. I also vowed that I would never again give one more penny of my income to an Annapolis that was as corrupt, inept and liberal (apologies for being redundant) as that which I had witnessed during that brief and early time in my adulthood. I have kept that promise. Notwithstanding it's natural beauty, I will not ever live in a state with such politics. And I'm certain they'd have it no other way.
I know Maryland is hardcore Dem country but is it still as corrupt as it once was? It had (and perhaps still has) a reputation for corruption on a par with Illinois and Louisiana. A Republican will have a tough row to hoe in that state.
"The Whig Man". Oh dear. On the positive side, a weak field for someone contemplating a future run...

ReplyDeleteCW, the PDRM's GOP isn't much different than the the GOP in the state which you were born - PDRNJ.
ReplyDeleteThen why don't you get involved?
ReplyDeletePatience, Sally. Patience.
ReplyDeleteCould CW become a Maryland carpet bagger?
