What are these people doing?

NASCAR race? Obama rally? Someone heard CW was coming to town? Nah, this crowd of 30,000 is gathered in an Atlanta suburb for an opportunity at getting public housing. Sixty-two people were injured for a variety of reasons including heat distress, but mostly due to being trampled in the crowd.
This is sad for all kinds of reasons. What's particularly pathetic about this group is these people were waiting (some for two days) to get onto the WAITING LIST for public housing.
Gosh, I wonder who these people voted for in 2008. It's sure made their lives better.

  3. Cousin JuneBug will not vote in November. Nor in the next Presidential election.

In Atlanta, the Black Capitol of the US, of all places.
