So, it seems we have a dilemma with Syria. The elites in both parties, don't seem to know whether to defecate or wind their wrist watches. The American people have spoken loud and clear, and no amount of propagandizing by the media is or will have any effect. I see no need (and apparently most of America agrees) to get involved in a civil war between anti-American thugs and killers. There are no good actors here.
And regardless who may win or lose, if we get involved in this conflict WE will come out the loser.
Preznint Prompter painted himself into this corner when he went off script and shot his mouth off a year ago. We should not waste one ounce of blood or one shekel of treasure for him to save face. Whether we blow up a camel tent or choose to disengage, Assad wins the day. Hammer is right...we have no clear national interest that is advanced by attacking. When Dempsey is at a complete loss to describe even one military objective when asked, the mission is doomed. If the strategic objective cannot be clearly stated in a few words, there is no strategy.
