You know, Hugh Hefner (a total dirtbag but his magazine had some nice things) said one of the reasons he was successful was that women always controlled the indoors, the outdoors were always the man's domain be it cooking, yard work, whatever. His magazine concentrated on all the fun a guy could have inside the house (I'm not explaining this well). So I guess a man cave is our (guy's) attempt to control just a wee bit of the inside real estate.
