Political Earthquake in Japan
The ruling Liberal Democratic Party in Japan was trounced in elections yesterday, ending its 54-year run in power. That's some run. Although all politics is local, the Obama Administration must watch this development carefully, as the Democratic Party in Japan came to power stressing a more "arms length" relationship with the US. Given the distance growing between us and the Brits, we simply can't afford to push another steadfast ally away. This will require deft statesmanship by the Obama Administration--standby for the announcement of a Japan Czar.....

Been waiting for this one. Clinton started trading with the Chicoms and made them very wealthy. The Japanese could not have been happy. Our impotence in dealing with the North Koreans probably hasn't helped either. China wants desperately to join the Super Power club both economically and militarily. Japan must be beside themselves. Everyone says Japan can't re-militarize because their constitution forbids it. I say the Japanese are the Japanese and if they feel threatened, and the Americans are unwilling or unable to counter those threats, they will do what they must.
lol Japan Czar
(I promise I really did lol on this one)
The people of Japan were envious when they saw what great things were happening under a leftist government here in the United States.
