Hammer's latest piece dips into the inkwell of comparing the facile (in this case, partisan politics) to war. In an attempt to remind readers of the differences, Some examples of war are included below.
This, on the other hand, is most assuredly NOT war.
See how that works?

You might have had a point 50 years ago, but not now. We are no longer a country of laws but a country of "this administration's policy is...". We have the federal government meddling in Constitutionallly protected state functions and State and local governments attempting to dictate foreign policy. The last time we've seen this much discontent we had a civil war.
BTW, did they teach 'metaphors' at UVA?
Right. Metaphor.
"I say this here and now, regardless of how successful Trump's Presidency may be, he is an enemy of the powers-that-be and they will not rest until he is destroyed. This is war and there can be only one winner, the American Republic or the elites who control it. It is literally us vs. them. I do not wish to be overly dramatic but we must all choose a side. We stand with either those who believe in freedom and democracy or those who wish to live off the facade of freedom and democracy to keep us forever divided, afraid and dispossessed. Look around you. Look at what they've done to us. Look at how they've treated us. Look at how they live and how they demand we live. Now is the time, you're either in or out, for us or against us. There is no middle ground."
Man that Beltway crowd really got to you didn't they CW? I remember when you were a Reagan Republican talking Hayek and a 500 ship Navy.
Oh well.
One of us remains loyal to the the Reagan legacy of individual liberty, free trade, and a strong military. And it isn't you.
Free? Oh you mean us versus China Inc.? CW you know good and well I have never argued against free and FAIR trade. I would go into more detail on what is and what isn't but you know the difference.
Let me ask you, would Reagan be on Congress' ass to repeal Obamacare immediately? Would he put up with Paul Ryan slow-walking tax cuts? Of course he wouldn't, and again, you know it.
If you can't get behind the Trump agenda, which you yourself have argued for in one way or another most of your adult life, then I don't know what to say.
