Thanks to both Mudge and Hammer for their compassionate concern for my well-being, and my continued apologies to those of you who actually enjoy my blogging and occasionally visit the site to read some of it. I realize the wasteland that the blog has become, what with 80% of the posts coming from the acrid fingers of The Hammer. Not that Mudge has helped much in diluting that stream.
My blogging suffers for several causes. Hammer's right--the campaign did take a lot out of me. I haven't been following politics as closely. Frankly, the back and forth has left me a little cold. I'm a bit dejected about the direction the Republican Party is taking--or not taking to be more correctly (as in, I see it not headed in any coherent direction), I frankly find it difficult to be charitable toward my fellow citizens who returned Barack Obama to office, and am downright angry about those who continue to defend his feckless performance. The man is out of his league, and has been from the get-go.
Also, some of you may have noticed that our nation's budgetary system is in a shambles. This has had consequences, and has made my day job more difficult, which of course, crowds out the deliriously wonderful time available for blogging.
Ironically, at this time of uncertainty, one of my projects comes to a close at the end of the month, and there is a ton of work to do. A ton.
I ask your patience. Things will get better and I'll be back.

"...acrid fingers..." Thanks CW. That is one of the nicer insults I've gotten lately.
