Some Thoughts on The War Powers Act

One interesting thought (at least to me) is comparing the Libya operation to the Debt Ceiling debate. You advocate that the President should push the envelope by ignoring the War Powers Resolution and I agreed, noting legal precedent (in the Dellums and Campbell cases) would indicate Congress needs to come together as a group to press the issue if they don't like it.
The President could take a similar approach to the Debt Ceiling and refuse to stop selling U.S. Treasury Bonds to finance the budget Congress already approved. The 14th Amendment would support the assertion the Debt Ceiling is unconstituional (as you said the WPR is): "The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned."
