China's Buying Up the French Wine Country

Very interesting article here about recent purchases of expensive vineyards/chateaus in France by up and coming Chinese companies. Putting aside for a moment the voracious appetite for foreign investments underway in China--the rationale here--buying a piece of history, a piece of monarchy, a piece of tradition of land ownership and productivity--seems very interesting and yet another sign of the lessening impact of Marxism and Maoism on the Chinese people.

The Chinese are like the Dutch and English of the 17th and 18th centuries...and they will be rewarded for it.
