Now it seems that the State of Maryland--like other states--seeks to impose additional gun laws upon its law-abiding citizens, laws that would make the 9mm manufactured there illegal for sale in the state.
Pack up and leave, Beretta. Go where you're welcome. Lots of states would love to have your jobs and your tax revenue. Perhaps Maryland can make up for the loss with some more "community activist" jobs at non-profits.

Rick Perry will take them along with their jobs, taxes paid, etc.
Well said!
Put the whole factory on a barge, float it down the Potomac and across the Chesapeake Bay to Accomack County on the Eastern Shore of VA. You'll only have to change "-ceek, MD" to "-mack, VA" (heck, you can even reuse the 'k') on your engraver and you'll enjoy the lowest taxes in VA and residents who will fight to preserve their right to purchase your products. And you'd be welcomed with a population of open arms. No pun intended.
I hope the "flotsam" you speak of were rather large flotillas of Iranian gunboats or pirates. Can't imagine you hitting anything much smaller.
Did you also get to wear a cutlass?
