while the media focused on the racially motivated, intentional injustice done to the fine citizens of new orleans during katrina, there were countless similar examples of real community work such as this being done all up and down the gulf coast in areas that had been completely eliminated from existence. those stories didn't fit the story the media really wanted to tell the way new orleans did so we all had to wait until fargo to remind ourselves that a community that works AS a community, to protect and help itself, is capable of amazing feats.
Kept looking for the guys who run the wood chipper....
