The Russians are Thugs
This little Russian adventure into Georgia shows once again the depravity of the "democracy" in Russia (not that Georgia's is that much farther along). I honestly don't know what the issues are here, though it looks like ethnic politics are clearly at play, the kind that gave the Germans the right to salivate over the Sudetenland. Can anyone say "lebensraum"?

I can't help but wonder how many recent college graduates in this country, upon hearing of this story of Russian aggression into Georgia, are concerned that the Russians may next venture into Florida or South Carolina.
What amazes me is how John Edwards was able to fix it so that Russia invades Georgia, the Olympics opened, and Bernie Mac died all at the same time he announced his liasion; thus relegating his story to the back pages of the Post.
