Ok, step one to resuming the weight loss is getting back on the scale--and I'm pleasantly surprised at the lack of damage.
What's on your mind this week? Anything you want to talk about? GHD's all aflutter about Navy Seals and CEOs....anything there for you to chime in on? Busy month in CW real-life work-land, maybe you can spur the discussion on with your own issues.
Talk amongst yourselves....

I would like to talk a little sports.
At a recent basketball game in Chapel Hill they flashed on the arena screens former and present Carolina athletes and the guy (or gal) would say something like, my name is James Worthy and I'm a Tar Heel. The crowd would cheer etc., typical pre-game stuff. Well, as it happened Carolina's starting quarterback T.J. Yates had his turn. The Dean Dome erupted in boos and cries of derision. It was embarrassing...but nobody was embarrassed.
I think this episode exemplifies perfectly the kind of people attracted to UNC. Even though I'm not a fan and I don't have a dog in this fight, this was shameful behavior and should be condemned.
I would simply like to know what the heck is up with that photo. Besides your hair, of course.
I don't know. It not me of course but this guy looks so much the quintessential basement dwelling loser I though I'd use it for a while.
I'll try something different.
The photo captures the tingle that went through his body yesterday while watching Obama's Nobel acceptance speech.
Check out CW's photo. He looks like an extra in a Three Stooges short.
And that's actually him!
Ok let's get serious about the photo here. This is Aristophanes, a Greek playwright (one of the ancients). If you've never read him you're in for a treat. His works are widely available on the internet and he is as funny and clever and profane and vulgar (without being dirty) as it gets. He pokes fun at the human condition and if you get a good translation he is completely readable. He's the Chris Rock of his day.
So I'll use him.
Thought I'd let you see what deadline Bryan looks like....
A couple things:
CW - Nice photo. Reminds me of Ben Stiller in Something About Mary. You know the scene.
GG - For you.
Doc "I once put it to Wartlip for a $5 Nassau" Milnamo
Interesting coincidence...On the same day Obama’s Pay Czar announces rules limiting executive cash compensation at bailed out firms, the USA today reports that the percentage of federal employees making salaries of $100K or more rose from 14% to 19% during the recession’s first 18 months.
GHD,
It was actually Bryan's photo to which I was referring.
I am not sure how I feel about senior Navy leadership taking action based on a blog (CW excepted of course). CDR Salamander's recent post regarding LCS bottom 5 has generated a bit of heat for SURFOR. While most of the claims made in the post are half-truths, there is a bit of fact that, I hope will be addressed.
It's good to see you wear helmets while riding your stationary bike. Safety first!
But your picture looks like maybe you ought to wear a helmet whenever you go out to catch the short bus.
