Here's a clip from a recent Tonight Show starring...um...well I don't really remember that big guy's name, but in it, William Shatner does a bit of dramatic reading from Sarah Palin's recent autobiography (H/T Instapundit). He's wonderful. The creepy modern Shatner who was only hinted at on the bridge of the USS ENTERPRISE, but who--in his dotage--has carved out a very lucrative career being--William Shatner.
Not to be outdone, The Barracuda herself shows up and reads a few choice bits from Shatner's autobiography. One thing we've seen from Palin that is interesting (though I'm not sure how useful it is politically) is that she's still very much the competitor who earned the Barracuda nickname in high school basketball. She doesn't take attacks lying down--she comes back guns blazing--and this autobiography tour is a sign of that.
She's interesting. But so is Shatner.

Yes, Shatner's quite a character. You should check out his one-on-one interview show on the BIO channel (I think it's on BIO).
Thanks for the clip. I would never have seen it otherwise. Cannot stomach that "big guy" whose name you can't remember so I'd probably miss the second coming of Christ if that show had an exclusive on the coverage.
Speaking of Palin, Duke Prof. Mike Munger (an incredibly interesting individual) who ran for Gov. here on the Libertarian ticket, said she should run for Senate in Alaska. I agree. She's smart and aggressive but fairly or not, she's been positioned as inexperienced. A term or two in the Senate would be just the thing.
William Shatner is one of the worlds biggest a--holes. I'm so surprised persons of intelligence don't recognize this fact.
I'd be interested in where this list of "a--holes" is kept, and who else might be on it.
CW
The list is not ready for publication yet. I'm adding to it every day.
