Hmmmm. Lauren Holly. I was sad to see her leave NCIS.
She had a long career of service to the Navy starting in submarines and, as you observe Doc, ending up as director of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. A true pathfinder for women to follow.
And if you click on her rightmost picture, you will, if you can unlock your gaze, notice she is wearing a Surface Warfare Officer's breast insignia. Submarine Officer, Surface Warfare Officer, Director of NCIS. Pretty much a Navy Hat Trick.
Women on subs. Hmmm.
So much for the "Silent" Service.
