If your March Madness bracket is hopelessly broken, you're hardly alone. I'm always torn watching the tourney because I love seeing upsets--and I'm utterly incapable of identifying them ahead of time.
But 17-year-old Alex Herrmann of Glenbrook South High School in Illinois (where The Breakfast Club was set!) has called every game perfectly thus far this year. Including Kansas. Alex is autistic and a bit of a stats-watcher.
Think about how remarkable this is, particularly this season with upsets galore. When everyone was whining on Saturday night about how sad it was that Kansas lost, I recall thinking that the Northern Iowa kids would have a story to tell the rest of their life. So will Alex Herrman.

How about Cornell v Northern Iowa or St. Mary's for the title? That would be something!
Not to snark you, but that movie was filmed at Glenbrook North. The principal was the late great Dr. E. James Duffy, PhD. He and my father were room mates at Wisconsin in grad school in the early 1960's.
Thanks for the correction - I heard it on Scott Van Pelt's radio show this afternoon. Guess I should have verified...
