Looked like a lot of those West Point Cadets from last year's speech.
I think there must have been some sort of anaesthetic gas in the air--look around Biden. The woman (?) behind him over his left shoulder only lacked a pillow and the woman over his right shoulder, try as she might, just couldn't help but join in the zzzeal.
There is a pattern, as Dan noted. Obama is not known for his soothing oratory. Except when he is talking about something or to someone with which he has absolutely zero connection. West Point cadets and serious budget cuts are two such examples. I'd like to see the crowd during an American Exceptionalism speech (one where he feigns to be for it).
