This Man Writes with a Scalpel

This is a must read by Mark Steyn (I omitted the usual prefix, "The Incomparable" feeling it to be redundant) about Benghazi, or Benghazigate, as it is being called.  Don't look for anything about Benghazi in any of the MSM outlets, unless it is some remnant critique of Romney's 'hair trigger politicization of an unfortunate, isolated incident in response to Islamaphobic videos on YouTube.'

One of my favorite eviscerations:

"At the photo-op staged for the returning caskets, Obama et al seem to have been too focused on their campaign needs to observe even the minimal courtesies. Charles Woods [father of slain former SEAL, Ty Woods] says that, at the ceremony, Joe Biden strolled over to him and by way of condolence said in a "loud and boisterous" voice, "Did your son always have balls the size of cue balls?" One assumes charitably that the vice president is acknowledging in his own inept and blundering way the remarkable courage of a man called upon to die for his country on some worthless sod halfway across the planet. But the near-parodic locker-room coarseness is grotesque both in its inaptness and in its lack of basic human feeling for a bereaved family forced to grieve in public and as crowd-scene extras to the political big shot. Just about the only formal responsibility a vice president has is to attend funerals without embarrassing his country. And this preening buffoon of pseudo-blue-collar faux-machismo couldn't even manage that."

There is enough in this incident to make Hillary, Joe and Barak the Lance Armstrongs of American politics forever.  They should be banned forever from practicing politics (one can argue they keep practicing because they have yet to get any of it right).

In any case, were our media outlets not constrained by their Obama Campaign Information Bureau charters (case in point: MSNBC's logo "Leaning FORWARD."), they might be able to partake in a feeding frenzy over the decaying carcass of this Administration's inexplicable and unforgivable mishandling of the Benghazi massacre.

Fellow Americans, on November 6th, just voting for Mitt Romney to win is not enough.  We need to vote resoundingly to repudiate the poison, the cancer, of Progressivism for another generation.  Put it back in the dark recesses of society where it belongs for another thirty years just was we did with Carter.  We need to put Harry Reid on the list of the unemployed along with every single polictical appointee of this Administration.  If we can do that, I will hopefully be dead the next time it rears it's malfunctioning head.   Progressive. Forward.  Hardly--as Calvin Coolidge stated so eloquently regarding Progressives:

“About the Declaration there is a finality that is exceedingly restful. It is often asserted that the world has made a great deal of progress since 1776, that we have had new thoughts and new experiences which have given us a great advance over the people of that day, and that we may therefore very well discard their conclusions for something more modern. But that reasoning cannot be applied to this great charter. If all men are created equal, that is final. If they are endowed with inalienable rights, that is final. If governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, that is final. No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions. If anyone wishes to deny their truth or their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people. Those who wish to proceed in that direction cannot lay claim to progress. They are reactionary. Their ideas are not more modern, but more ancient, than those of the Revolutionary fathers.”

Amen and Amen.
