Well done, well delivered. This is a woman with whom to be reckoned. She's going to be formidable on the stump, and an excellent Vice President.
I am really excited about this ticket.

I LOVED the speech and have great hopes for her. But I can't shake the realization that she just entered the political big leagues and she made her entrance by walking up to half the political big leaguers to punch them in the nose. Fight's on and the gloves are coming off, especially Biden's I would think. She is about to get tested on her world knowledge, economics, national issues, names of international leaders, the Constitution, civics, etc etc etc. She showed how hard she can study these past two days. Can she keep up that pace through November 4th (and if elected, beyond) while being mom to a special needs newborn and 5 others including a son in Iraq? Oh yeah, and she is also a wife (see CW's excellent article on marriage from last month). She sure seems to be tough...but she is also human and that is a lot to have on anyone's plate. I hope she can do it...and if she can, I agree with CW that she will be the President in 2012.
you know, for the first time ever, i actually feel sorry for hillary. she must be wondering what in the hell caused such an astral alignment to so thoroughly diminish her once-thought-sure-shot at the presidency. but i'm not all that sorry. it still gives me a good chuckle.
The same media pundits who underestimated GW Bush will make a similar mistake with Gov. Palin.
I heard she got her nickname "Sarah Barracuda" from her point guard days on her high school basketball team -- I want to see a little basketball one-on-one between her and Obama.
Very well delivered speech, but we must keep in mind that almost everything in her past lends itself to her being able to deliver a good speech. Point guard and captain of her high school basketball team, rally the team and lead. Head of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in high school, give speeches that rouse the spirit within. Majored in Communications in college with a minor in Political Science. Reporter for KTUU. With that background, the surprise would be if she could not deliver a good speech. Having said all that, I think I like her.
Communication skills are one of the most sought after traits for senior execs in business...maybe also the Pres, no?
The single greatest failure of our schools has been not ensuring that students attain the ability to read, comprehend and implement the english language.
