Jack Kemp has died, and the world is worse without him. One of the ideological godfathers of Reaganomics, he teamed with Delaware Senator William Roth to put forward some of the most far-reaching and insightful fiscal and tax legislation seen in our time.
He was additionally, a man who favored progressive immigration policies, and he worked hard to formulate legislation that tried to apply market forces to solve many of the most intractable questions of persistent poverty.
He was a great man.
