Obama Gets Taken to School

I've never heard of this man before, but there's a warm place in my heart for Johns Hopkins (they put me back together once upon a time). But this is a wonderful speech about achievement, self-reliance, overcoming adversity and good government. The philosophy he relates is the philosophy of America, and he's saying it five feet away from the man who needs to hear it the most.

Just finished listening to this over at Powerline. Concur, it is a powerful, refreshing speech. What is very telling, however, is just how much it galls the current President of the United States of America to listen to it. His only applause is when Dr. Carson stops speaking and retires to his seat. This is as American as apple pie--apparently Obama is allergic to apple pie...especially when he's being served it by someone he almost certainly considers an Uncle Tom.

I have to think Obama knew something was coming. He was deaf to this speech from word one....

Concur CW. You look at his face, and you see that disaffected aloofness.
His mind was wandering, conjuring-up, I am sure, thoughts of how the Obama Library will look.
