When the SCHIPs are down, make health care a children's crusade. Obama's Organizing for America today announced the winner of it health reform video challenge - a 30 second spot entitled "I Deserve Health Care", a short comprised entirely of children describing tales of future misery that will befall them because their parents couldn't afford health care.

This creeps me out in the same way the celebrity pledge of allegiance thing and the chanting schoolkids creeped me out.
Barack Obama mmm mmm mm.
This so moved me. I'm turning over a new leaf. I'm now a supporter of the public option and I'm finally going to do something about my ED.
George Will's written many times about knowing you've won the argument when the other side pulls out the "for the children" rhetoric. This is crap.
The CW hit the nail on the head. Over the years the liberals have always pulled out the "We must do it for the chilllllldrennnnn" to make anybody in opposition appear to be on the same level as a Fagin or a Scrooge.
Won the argument? Really? I don't think so CW. In their minds this is bigger than healthcare. That Republican who said we can break Obama if we kill this bill didn't do us any favors, because he was right. And now they know it too.
Winning the argument when the other side trots out the old "for the children" rhetoric huh? This shall be known as Will's Corollary to Godwin's Law.
So let it be written. So let it be done!
