On Bowing To Japanese Emperors

I've avoided this one simply because I really didn't know the protocol involved...I still don't, but the kids of the UCONN College Republicans have a little primer to help the President see how other dignitaries have handled the "meet and greet" with the Emperor. Classic.

H/T--Mary Katherine Ham at The Weekly Standard-- who is incidentally, one of the hottest conservative women out there....

I'll bet if he was Captain of a Navy warship, he'd 'dip the ensign' to every dhow and foreign dingy in sight. Hell, he'd probably just have to leave it dipped through his whole command for fear of wearing out the blocks and halyard. He ought to just make a big white flag with yellow letters that say "I'm so, so sorry for my country" and hoist it permanently above the national ensign. It would certainly safe his back muscles all that bowing.

"It would certainly safe his back..."

It's safe to say I meant to say save.

Yeah it's clear, Obama is a peckerhead. So what else is new?
I noticed the East Asians were entirely erect when shaking hands with the Emperor. They're probably thinking I'd like to give you a haircut with a chainsaw.
A quick story. A Vietnamese guy told me a story about the Japanese occupation of Indo-China during WWII. The sons of Dai Nippon are big into horses for ceremonies etc. so the local commander assigned a village to look after his horse. The Japanese army were foragers, they lived off the land, so not a lot of food around. The horse died as a result. When discovered the commander had the villager's children beheaded and stuffed into the belly of the dead horse. Bill Sherman eat your heart out.

In Asian countries, the lesser person bows to his betters. The lower the bow the more estimable you believe that person to be.

President O-Bow-ma, suffers from extreme insecurity, low self esteem, a feeling of not really belonging in his position and the belief that all other world leaders are more deserving of respect than he.
Well, at least we cannot say that the president is not well aware of who he is.

Good point. The psychological flip side of insecurity is narcissism. Many of the most vicious bastards who ever lived traveled that road (he who's name will not be spoken was the most blatant example). I'm no Carl Jung (or Carl Yastrzemski either) but it doesn't take one to realize this guy is a few chicken McNuggets shy of a Happy Meal.

Shame on you or mentioning "THE YAZ" in even passing reference to "The One".
