Dodd To Retire

Connecticut Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT) is not going to run for re-election. This is beginning to get interesting.....

I don't think Dodd's news is going to hurt Democrats as much as if he was to stay in the race. It's a blue state; Dodd steps down for a more appealing Democrat, and Democrats hold the seat.

I think you may actually see more of this over the next few months in "safe" blue states where incumbent Democrats have become disillusioned with party leadership, and were forced to bite their tongue and vote "yes" on the HC reform monster.

wow. off topic, but the word verification is "redrum". spooky.

I think this Fall will be full of wild-cards and unpredictable voter behavior. The flip side of the Obamania turnout, that is, pissed off conservative droves hitting the polls while the Greenies and Mellenials stay in the dorm rooms, may be a game changer. Having said that, I agree with GG...this one's probably not going to hurt the Dems too much.

Meanwhile Steele just keeps inserting his wingtips in his pie-hole. The GOP Chairman goes on Hannity and asserts the GOP won't retake either house of Congress this year? Maybe an accurate statement, but not one you want to hear from the cheerleader in chief for the party. Time to cast off the inferiority complex, quit calling idiots like Feinstein "My distinguished colleague from California" and open up an industrial strength can of whoop ass.

On a lighter note, this one tickled my funny bone today.

This guy's daddy was a friggin' crook and so is he. This is one of the reasons why when ever I meet someone from Massachusetts or Connecticut my knuckles start to itch.
