On The Israeli Boarding

I contributed to this blog post about the Israeli take-down attempt. From my perspective, it was not a good showing.

Sorry--every time I think of the Palestinians and ships, I think of them pushing people in wheel chairs off of them. Scant sympathy here for either 'side' at the moment.

It was obviously a set up but let's get past that for now. I, as a bona fide Redneck, am sick of supporting Israel when so many American Jews throw my ass under the bus at first opportunity. Conservative in general have been the most reliable supporters of Israel, and for what? There's certainly no quid pro quo. American Jews give roughly 25% of all campaign donations in American elections and most of that money goes to the left and hard left.
I am somewhat familiar with the issues in the Middle East. I know that Israel has no more claim historically to that land than dozens of other nationalities, ethnic groups and religions. So for me it's base politics, and I ain't getting what I need for the support I'm giving.

You are correct CW, the IDF botched this.

Next time, first shot across the bow. Second shot amidships.
